Finished my lift finally!
Well, two nights of wrenching and she's finally done. I installed the 2.5" Teraflex coil lift with shock adapters on my 2007 Sahara this week. Other than one completely rusted rear sway bar bolt that I had to saw through, there were no other casualties. My notes on the lift:
1. The rear trackbar drop bracket on the axle is better than the fiddly drill frame bracket, from what I read. I screwed up the threads a bit but a local machine shop re-threaded the u-bolt for me.

2. For some reason I did not need to straighten my steering wheel - still tracks straight.
3. The JKS Quick Discos for 0" to 2" are still OK - I left the threaded bolt with about 10 turns left in the shaft. The sway bar is still nearly horizontal. These will be removed offroad so I am not too worried about them. This was a big question for me when I went to the 2.5" coil lift because I didn't want to spring for new discos too.

4. Curse the designer who located the top front shock mounts.
5. The ride is not twitchy or anything. Maybe I'm just used to twitchy vehicles from my past, but I don't think I will need lower control arms in the front. Very happy!
Anyway, here she sits today.

Absolutely. I learn so much from doing it myself. Saving money from not paying others to do it helps a lot too. I think the jeep looks great now. Passing the same attitude to my kids helps also, so they won't be dependent on others to work on their vehicles.
