Default Fender Flare trimming question.

I have looked at a lot of the trimming threads but still have a question. Are most of the trims just knocking off the drop down edge of the flare or are yall cutting on the flat part of the flare? I am wanting to cut mine but havent taken time to do it yet. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I will get around to it. I was thining of just cutting the edge of the flare to allow for more flex or bigger tires next time around. Thanks in advance for the help.

I cut about 1" back from the part that actually drops down.

The nice thing about this trim is it's all up to you. You can go big and cut a good deal off or just trim the edge. I went in between on the ends.
