Thumbs up The Evolution of Moby Dick Continues

As a part of Moby Dick's continuing transformation to become a dominant species, we recently took it in to Off Road Evolution to have their EVO Long Arm Suspension System installed complete with EVO Envy Links. Below are some pics that we took of the Evolutionary process as well as the end result. Check it out.

Here is a picture of the EVO Long Arm upgrade parts including EVO Envy Links:

EVO Envy Links shown in Red, Aluminum and Polished (they are also available in black):

Stipping down:

Removing the gas tank:

Using a torch to cut off factory control arm brackets:

Cutting off the rear axle brackets:

Grinding to smooth out the frame and axle so the new brackets can go on:

After the grinding:

Cutting the body mounts to clear the new EVO brackets:

Installing the EVO brackets:

Installing the high clearance lower control arm brackets on the rear axle:

Here you can see the difference in clearance between the factory mounts and the EVO mounts:

After the brackets are secured in place, it's time to weld:

These are some beautiful welds!

After a coat of black paint:

Installing the EVO Envy Links:

Final Shots - Unlike any other Long Arm Suspension System available on the market today, the EVO System offers unrivaled ground clearance as you can see in the pics below.

As you can see here, the EVO Long Arm System along with the EVO Lever allows for the installation of high clearance lower control arm mounts leaving next to nothing hanging below the axle.

Wow, that looks great! The welds are amazing. I like the skids on the arms, nice touch.
