Your welcome, practice on something first if u can so u can get the hang of it. My first time practicing with it is when I did my rocker skins and the first couple weren't tight enough and 1 got overtightend and I had to drill it out

Here's the tool I used, which works great (and is a lot cheaper than the Marson but just as strong). Astro pneumatic #1442 - $67 on Amazon.

Done! It "just" took me 3 days... lol. More build pics in my gallery here.

These are Autosmart brand LED's. Clear lens, red LEDs, black housing and flange.

I ended up but a couple of these $16 three-in-one riveter kit. Only needing after all. It didn't break and was quite easy, I completed the right skin quickly, 30 seconds a nutsert. Once I figured out the adjustment for the sweet spot for best leverage it was easy.

The EVO instructions say this tire carrier is not an easy install and that is a fact (for me), because it one difficult challenge after another. The last straw was after completely getting it all together. I learn that my 37's on factory wheel will not mount to the tire carrier because the design uses a 2x2 steel tube mount thru the hub of the wheel. Disappointment.

Did any one have problems with the Johnny Joints. Three out of the four were nearly impossible the thread on and cease up three quarters the way on. I'm no weakly be any measure and I used a steal 16" steel pry bar to crank on it. I can't get the joints to line up with adjustment.

Anybody have these same problems. What did you do?

The end of the threads aren't finished well and can easily lead to misthreading. I took mine to a local machine shop to be touched up after screwing one of mine up big time and not being able to thread two others. They touched up all the threads for about $50 and everything went smooth from there on out. Make sure to clean well after machining.

Mine are on now, not going to matter much at this point. I ended up finding a bigger pry bar. 24" Piece of re-bar worked, it's still tough to turn.

It irks me that after paying over $1500 for a product. I got an unfinished product.

Same goes for me. That was BY FAR the hardest part about the whole thing. I ended up using a 3-foot lead pipe for leverage, and it still took every ounce of my strength to get it to turn. And it's still not correct - the passenger side is still 1/3 unthreaded, but luckily the driver side threaded all the way in. It's still uneven.

I strongly recommend that EVO pre-install the johnny joints prior to shipping. The customer does not know to ask for this unless by some chance they read this. It was a huge letdown, and even though I love the looks of it, it would not have been worth any type of injury had it happened.

Yes, I agree. I was so certain, I wanted this carrier for my jeep so bad, send all that money, and now after the toil "this thing is getting install if it kills one of us" me or the Jeep. It's now installed. The jeep...full of scratches, holes, and all cut up. I'm happy to be done, well? kinda it's got to come off to painted.

As I was saying, I love it, I hate it, it had so many let downs I don't know what to think of it. I guess it still looks awesome. I see all the little imperfections when I look at it and only we know what's hidden underneath those rock guards.
