Default Effin' Wind

Door flew open, SNAPPED THE DOOR RETENTION STRAP, and dented my side cowl. The good news is my Lightforce 170 took most of the hit from the mirror and survived with flying colors.

Before everyone gets too freaked out, it was my fault. The floor mount of my cage has a bolt that goes through the vertical part of the door sill and actually comes out in the middle of the little metal door retention strap hook. Back when I installed my cage, I cut the extra off the end of the bolt (but apparently not enough) so it was almost flush with the body. Well, from what I can tell, the retention strap had enough contact with the end of the bolt that it slowly sliced through the strap enough that today's gust of wind caused the strap to fail. It wouldn't have happened without the bolt, so it's not something you need to worry about unless you have the same cage as me and didn't trim the bolt flush with the body.

Lol my jeep came with that dent! It's not as bad but it sure as hell got it.
Guess some moron wanted to see how the doors get taken off.
Funny thing is month later after cleaning interior I found a exacto knife and a piece of wood under driver seat. It was a lot vehicle from another dealership and got driven to my local dealership where I bought it from. Received it with 300km.

I don't mind most dents, just ones that happen in a parking lot.
