Default Easy place to mount fire extinguisher

I was replacing my floor mats today. I had my fire extinguisher on the rear floor. I placed it in the rear cup holder. It fits snug.
I tried the smitty-bilt, it wobbled on the roll bars... not crazy about a 3 lb. FX full , wobbling and coming loose. I sent it back.

I think ill keep it there.

Nice and simple. I like it!

Here's another easy one. Two heavy duty zip ties around the roll bar and extinguisher bracket. These are releasable zip ties so it can be removed. No, yer head won't hit the handles

Did this back a while ago. Quick pilot hole and two self tappers.

I screwed my bracket in and I love it here. The only bad(which is not major)is that I have to remove my extinguisher off to put up and take down my soft top, but it is just a quick release.

I like the rear door mount. Quick and easy to retrieve, should you need to use it. I think my FX is too long.

For the rear roll bar, I guess that it needs to secured with screws, but will affect the soft top installation.

On the JKU theres no option for a mount behind the driver seat.No roll bar.

All good ideas.

Anyone have luck with strap on FX holders, like rugged ridge.Does it hold tightand remove easy?

The smitty-bilt was horrible,it did not hold tight, and should you need it , it takes time to pull it out of the holder ....... but looked good.

I see a LOT of guys mounting their fire extinguishers up high on the roll bar with zip ties or Velcro. You really need to think about this mount....can you imagine what that bottle would do to your skull in the event of an accident? Personally all my fire extinguisher mounts have been low (like on the floor) also does no good if you can't get to it in a moments notice.

That seems like it would be a projectile if in front end accident.

I would rather deal with some whiplash and live to fight another day.

Does look cool and rugged on the rear bar, I have to admitt. That was my original plan. MY FX does not have a full strap support. Its has a wall mount hook, for a building.

Do you think two zip screws are enough to support the weight of the FX on sudden moves, or should you use a longer 1/4" screw/bolt and nut.
