Default Drake Off Road Billet Grille Inserts installed in black...

Too simple of an install for a writeup, just remove the grille and stick these in the holes then tighten screws in the brackets behind the grille. Here are some pics of the grille inserts. They are pretty heavy duty and I like the "finished" look it gives to the Jeep grille, you don't see the radiator anymore, it should give it some good protection. I painted the bolt heads with matte black touch up paint to prevent corrosion after tightening them.

What you get in the kit:

From a distance, barely noticeable:

These are made out of 1/4" thick billet aluminum, they are sturdy I tried to see if I could bend them, I couldn't.

I looked at them this weekend while I was installing my bumper. They still look brand new, no chipping or bending. I've sprayed the grille with a high pressure wand at the car wash no problems. They are holding up really well.

I am really not a fan of these. I like the BDF grill inserts much better. (Personal choice)

Looking at the BDF ones, they're okay, but not a fan of all the nut heads showing.
Like I said, personal choice. They look like they fit well, I just have never liked the billet look. The multi nuthead look of the BDF grill is what attracts me. Quadratec carries the BDF rigid industries mounts (windsheld, hood, tail lights) but I do not think they carry the BDF grill inserts.

PS
I do love the orange/black combo though. Cant stand chrome/polished look.

I installed the grill kit on the weekend, thought I would share a couple pictures.

Over all, I'm pretty impressed with the product, biggest downfall is the lack of availability in Canada. I got nailed with shipping on these.

I ordered my Drake black insets from extreme terrain with free shipping. I think they look great. I chose them over others, because of the protection they provide and the low profile look, plus, no drilling or epoxy necessary.
