Do those sit on the paint on the outside? I could care less about on the backside of the grille, but if they are on the outside, I would think they would shimmy back and forth and cause the paint to rub off over time?

I think these do look like one of the better/ easier solutions vs teh DIY method, just curious on the grille paint.

They do touch the paint on the outside. I haven't had any paint loss, but if they rattle I could see how that could rub some off. That's why I used loctite and check them regularly.
