I can understand that! I got rid of my WRX that did 0-60 in 4.2!
My Jeep is pretty damned quick with the stock gears and superchips. No need to go faster. However, some more power on the hills would be nice, but not enough of a reason to go with a 2012. My next vehicle will be a diesel truck. (Or if they put a hemi in a JK from the dealer...)

The extra power is always welcomed but would not be money wise to trade my 2010 just for the extra power. Now if it had the extra power and a very noticable gain in fuel mileage then I may have had to take the bait 
For now I will stick with the 3.8 and the 450 wheel hp Evo for my need for speed.

Also, the engine sounds much more upscale than the coarse 3.8-liter, and the exhaust note is throatier. Paired with either transmission, it feels much more refined. Where the 3.8 feels pokey, the 3.6-liter actually makes the JK feel spry. Jeep estimates that the new engine reduces 0-60 times by 2-3 seconds with either transmission, and when we took a Wrangler Sport manual to the track, we confirmed this estimate. The new Jeep hit 60 mph in 6.7 seconds, while all of the 3.8-liter Wranglers took between 9.8 and 10.2 seconds."
