Default Door Hinges BEDLINED!!

Thanks to dyolfknip, DeepSky, 07Rubi2dr and others for the idea, I finally bedlined my hinges tonight...getting them off was a piece of cake...the hardest part of the whole thing was sanding them down...

Here are some pics, Ill get them back on the Jeep at the end of the week and get a few more pics...until then Ill enjoy rolling around with all 4 doors off...I usually only have the front off...

Here ya go!!

Finally got around to taking some pics of the finished product...

I used rustoleum bedliner. When I put them back on I coated the back with RTV silicone sealer. The idea (hope) was that it would help with the corrosion between the aluminum hinges and the steel on the door...

Here it is...

Very nice! This seems to look good for just about any color Jeep.

Did you take your hood hinges off to paint them or did you tape them off?

Did you exacto knife the paint around the hinges to get them off?

Has anybody used color matched bedliner for the hinges?

My Jeep is flame red and I would like to do them red.

why would you bedline the hinges? are they more susceptible to corrosion?
