This is just a thought and only my HO.

i have never had ad luck with a procomp wheel, but every offroad part has some breaking point and you found one. that is the main reason that i buy $50 steelies. If i break, crack, bend, or whatever it I could care less. sorry about you luck though. I would definetly give them a call though, cant hurt anyone to ask.

guess i missed where you already ordered new wheels. good luck with them.

I would say that is definetly a wedge type hit of some sort, it didnt just press itself inwards for no reason.

Unfortunate, but i dont think Pro-Comp should have to pay for trail damage. I really find that ludicrous. If they offered, fine, but I certainly wouldnt expect a company to pay for damage utterly beyond their control.

If that where really the case, then Jeep should fix my original transmission skid or send me a check for the replacement skids, send me two new tupperware sidesteps, repaint my flares, and reimburse me for the paint i used on my frame/suspension to fix up all the rust from living in WNY. Oh, and on the same note, buy me new tires whenever they wear out, and gas, and engine oil, a few quarts of diff oil, and hell... foot the bill for the insurance too.

Almost everything is made in china, good luck finding something that isn't outsourced.

I've seen a lot of parts fail on trails. Doesn't mean I wouldn't buy the product. Most of the time I see something fail it isn't due to the part, it is due to the operator of the truck, like the OP in this tread. People tend to forget that wheeling puts a lot of stress on things, and sooner or later something is going to break.

Maybe...or I may think the company is just popular and a lot of people run them so the chance of seeing one fail would be increased by the amount seen on a trail.

You have to take into account the quantity of pro comp wheels that are sold for offroad use versus other brands. Let me clarify a little, I was an auto mechanic for 12 years and found that I saw alot of Ford escorts in the shop, Some would say those models are junk, I say that for every mustang gt ford sells they sell 50 escorts, so it's simply that there are far more of them on the road so you see them far more often. Same with pro comp wheels, how many times have they had the buy 3 get 1 free deal, I think there is just a crap load of them out there, Besides everything is mass produced these days and some mistakes are bound to be made. I would have at least called them. Just my

I like my PC's. Thats nothing good or bad. Personal opinion.

Anything can break. This guy has a sour taste in his mouth from the wheel and I seriously doubt it was just from this experience. Either that or he has lots of cash to throw around and try new wheels out.

Either way you look at it. It's a Jeep. Your gonna break stuff. And if your not breakin stuff, then your not wheeling it very hard. Consider it a war wound and move on.

Personally, I would be happy on a breakage like that. A cheap cast aluminum wheel like that is supposed to give before the hard parts... ie...driveshafts, axles, gears and such (so much more expensive to repair than a cheap wheel). Plus, thats what a spare is for.

As result of my bad experience with PC, I have changed my wheels for new OMF ones with beadlocks
