Custom Roll Bar Skin
Today I finished the first of a bunch of steps in making my Jeep into my personal Safari Adventure Jeep. Since my Jeep is White it is the perfect candidate for a nice Zebra/Safari look (at least to me it is).
This process of reskining the roll bar took about 18 hours including removal and install. The Zebra material is stitched right over the factory roll bar skin, this gives a great fit and finish with out any room for error. Of course having a mom that was a seamstress for many years helps too! We could have taken apart the factory skin but, this would have taken a ton of time to do and would have introduced the risk of it not fitting right after sewing the new skin together.
This new skin cost about $32.89 it materiel to make. Gotta love a cheap Mod that turns out awesome!!!!
Let me tell you that the factory skin is a pretty cheap material and if we had tried to take it apart it would have probably been a total mess. It has poor stitching, I found holes in the stitching from the factory, and it is just over all a cheap item.
Attached are the pictures, hope you guys enjoy them...

Oh man that is sweet! Hope you thanked your Mom for her help. Did you have to use an industrial sewing machine or did just a surger worked for you? Also is that fabric cotton or a heavier duty? I like it either way. Congrats!!!
