Question Custom no-handle no-hinge rear half door idea(s)

A couple ideas I had:

What would a 4dr look like with rear half-doors, and no front doors?

Then I thought, what would it look like if the rear doors had no handles or hinges? People without rear seats don't really need the doors anyway....

So I photoshopped this:

I think it looks cool. Any thoughts? Anyone have pics of no front + rear half doors I can photoshop?

Original pic belongs to user SilverRubi2, from this thread:

it does look good. if you had the rear seats down, or out, it would be like a pickup.

I like it a lot.

With no roof, I think it'd look awesome.

Yeah, but not the external part on the door.
This way they'd still open (from the inside).
I don't think it'd be possible to make 100% hingeless without bolting/welding the door on.

This has me thinking, there is that guy in the Writeup section that is making half doors out of steel. You could use some sort of interior latch or even super magnets and hold the doors on.

Hmm... I have an idea...
If you removed the half-hinge from the jeep side, you could use those holes to bolt the door to the jeep directly. Wouldn't be easy, but is doable, would be strong, and wouldn't require altering the jeep itself... just the doors.

You'd basically have to get inside the door, and thread bolts through the front edge of the door into the hinge-mount holes in the jeep. Then use the existing door latch system to hold the rear part of the door. Might want to permanently lock it though

Note that I've never looked at the doors that closely at all, so I'm really just guessing

That's a good idea. If I did something like this I would not want to make it permenant so removing my Jeep side hinges would mean my paint would be screwed up, but that is an interesting concept. Just more stuff to think about.

edit: Wait a minute!!! That would only be on the inside of the Jeep....... Sorry it's late on a Friday, my brain is fried. Gonna have to go look at my Jeep here in a few.
