Default custom antenna bracket!

Just got it on a little bit ago. John did some cutting and heating up and manipulating ......

it works ... lets hope! Still have to get the radio hooked up ... but I will post pictures in a little bit of my rear end! It is where the stock tire carrier used to be.

The edges need to by sanded down a bit and need to paint it black still .. but ya get the idea!

NICE AND CLEAN DID YOU PUT A RUBBER GASKET OR RUBBER WASHERS BETWEEN THE BRACKET AND BODY

That looks really good, but how strong is it when the antenna is bent down?

Looks good! I do wonder about long-term strength near the bend. Did you consider welding it up a bit to beef it up?

I have no idea .... we will find out ... it was just so I had one to get ahold of everyone ... might look into welding some more pieces to strengthen it ...

did not add washers ... will probably add sum rubbers one when I get back from wheeling this weekend ....

it works though .... for now. :

okay .. update ... after some wheeling at Evans , which is known for the tight trails and body damage ...

It held up to trees and stumps pushing and pulling on the bracket! Guess in time we'll tell.
