I liked it better when I hadn't talked to them.
Alternator (though I cleaned it thoroughly) has "sand" in it.
Pulley also has sand.
Leak in transmission caused by driveshaft contacting transmission pan. Fluid leaked out, moisture leaked in.
Reverse and low gears melted together.
LIFT CAUSED DAMAGE, NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY.
MUST REPLACE:
alternator
pulley
transmission
driveshaft
must repair fan malfunction.
it will probably be summer before I can start on this, if then.
I may just have to let it get repossesed.
Sorry to disappoint all if you who have been watching.

Looks like Ill be taking the Tonka back to stock as much as possible, then selling it, or letting the bank sell it. I can't afford to fix it and still make payments on it. It has been a very tough decision.
But I feel that as I repair each issue, another arises...and the jeep will never truly be whole again.
Ive got someone with a set of stock steelies to throw on it
not sure about bumpers and fenders
Might sell hood for cash/yellow stock hood.
keeping wheels/tires/adapters
keeping LOD rear bumper (I have no way of shipping it)
keeping Nack, as it was a gift from Camp....and I wouldnt feel right profiting from it.
not sure about the lift...unless someone wants to buy it cheap and help me swap them out..
snorkel stays with the Jeep.... unless someone really likes it, and we can figure a way to cover the hole.
anything else ive added, im probably keeping, as it isnt worth much.
There will be another JK in the future, when Im in a better place.
I hope to make it bigger and better.
perhaps an unlimited too.
I WILL MISS ALL OF YOU.

You have a big fan club crash! Hope the guys close to you can help you out! Anyone want to start up a fund for tonka? Couple bucks from some members will go a long way! I can't do much but would donate to help out! I couldn't imagine being in your position. All the best.

we arent doing donations.
I honestly just hope that everyone remembers me when I show up next year and my rig is a different one....or if I come in for a visit, and still dont have one.
Ive really appreciated the friendship Ive experienced on here.
Friends can still reach me through Facebook and occassionally Myspace. Be sure to Join JK-Forums Facebook fan page if you havent yet.
Unfortunately, this may postpone my plans to focus more on manufacturing JK accessories, since i wont have a vehicle handy to test on. But the time will come.
And I plan to release each product through JK Forum Basement Builders for you before making them available anywhere else.
I love you guys.

Wish you the best...
We all understand sometimes other things take priority over a Jeep. I wish you the best. You should post an email address if you aren't going to be on here now. Then we can at least get an update when you get back in the game.
