Even if I had it, no one in town can test it.
Dealer told me it was all working fine, then the starter malfunctioned.
I guess that means it was running.
They pulled the starter and said it was fried.
Hopefully will have one Monday.

So if things were fine with it, before it was left out in the rain, and now it's fried, is it safe to put 2 and 2 together and conclude it was caused by the rain?

Lol. That would be funny.
But since the starter is in the engine compartment, and the hood was on during the rain, the likelihood is low.

However, it is still covered by warranty.
My lifetime warranty isn't voided, they just couldn't cover those specific components due to moisture.

I have followed this whole thread with interest. I have had seasons in life just like what you are going through so I feel for you. I hope your Tonka is resurrected soon. Keep your head up, when the headwinds change to tailwinds it will be a great relief and you will be better for the experience.

That which doesn't kill us makes us stronger (and that works for our poor JK's when we break and replace too.)

Well... I'll be here waiting on Monday. If I'm drunk it's because of a final I have tomorrow.

GREAT NEWS!
I went in today and spoke with the service manager.
He confirmed that they started the jeep Friday, and IT RAN FINE!
after they killed it though, they couldn't get the starter to work again. However...the starter came in this morning, and they are getting ready to get on it.
IT SHOULD BE READY FOR PICKUP BY LUNCH!
