You want to help out? Donate blood.

This isn't a pity party. Crash is a grown man with a wife, family, and a very cool skill. He's posted this looking for help, not in the form of money, but knowledge and technical skill.

If I were in his shoes, I certainly would not want to be the guy that people are feeling bad for and getting a collection going. Send a pizza delivery to his house on Sunday when he's working on the rig, but don't patronize him with your donation. He wants a hand up, not a hand out.

Moral of this thread: 60" Hi-Lift doubles as a depth finder.

always a good idea.
I used to be upset that I couldn't donate blood because my blood clots too quickly. Then I found out it was because my platelet count is ridiculously high....so now I can donate platelets. Most of the time I can even do a double donation at once. It's a great feeling to help so many people.

pretty sure it doesn't ask for pity anywhere.
In fact, quite the opposite.
You're one of few who chose to follow the purpose of the thread, but I'm sure you're not alone. More will join you.
It was only up a few hours. Give it time.

picked up jeep this morning.
They left it in the parking lot overnight in a rainstorm.
Column apart, console removed.
Everything I've spent time drying is soaked again.
Plus naked column is drenched.
Time to get to work again.

Call your insurance company and tell them they did that, ain't gonna hurt. That shouldn't have been done whether they charged you or not.

Depending on what type of person you are, you could very easily get a lot of the things fixed because of that little slip-up. But remember, proof resides with whoever has the deeper pockets.
