Wow that really sucks dude.

When it was that deep in the water and still running, did you hear anything strange from the engine? Would it just not restart after you shut it down or did it die on you?

Hopefully your snorkal was propperly sealed so your engine isn't hydro-locked. My guess is that you may have fried the computer in your jeep. I'm bet that it wasn't sealed against deep water.

Good luck and we need pictures.

Crash, we've all enjoyed your crazy prior antics, but your next photos are ones I do NOT want to see. Damn sorry to hear of this.

Revive Tonka fund - I'm there. Seriously, you provide this community with alot of smiles, glad you and kid stayed safe, keep smiling.

see, and this is the EXACT reason why NO jeep should ever be run on a CAN-bus. i feel fairly confident that within not too long of a time my JK shall be stripped of all and re-born the right way.

as many of you have suggested, i think it more likely electrical.....but will be checking everything.
was very wet.
rear top rim of tub was underwater at one point.
to answer questions:
it did not die. it just wouldnt restart on dry land.
snorkskull was facing rear.
no one was hurt, cept for some chafing from wearing wet jeans all day, and muscle soreness from steering a towed vehicle home 50 miles with no power steering.
sadly, i didnt even get the nack fully muddy like i wanted. this place had more watery mud, so it didnt stick as well.
pics will be up tomorrow. i have no way to get to the shop to upload pics. i could normally use my iphone from the house, but it was under 2ft of water for 15-20 minutes.

in case anybody was wondering...yes, a JK will float.
unfortunately, that makes traction more difficult.

this is all from a crappy cell phone in text format, so i apologize for grammatical errors and the absence of my traditional yellow.

CRAZY! I was wondering how much water it takes before the jeep started to float.....
What were you trying to cross? pond/river?

Damn, that sux Crash. Hopefully Tonka will dry out and fire back up without too many major issues (read no engine problems).

I have heard of Jeeps on here becoming "possessed" after being flooded. Lights, wipers, dash gauges, radio all working / not working all by themselves............. Good luck man. Keep us posted on your progress of getting your ride back up and running.

I shall drink an adult beverage this evening in honor of Tonka..........
