Guess it's time to learn to use a multimeter.
In addition to an oil change, what must I do to get any water out of my crankcase?
Same question for tranny fluid.

Just drain it and then when you get it going just change it a few times after running it for like a day change it. do that 2-3 times should get everyting out. definatly start with the fuse box and computer

Just drain it and do an oil and filter change. Same with the trans. If the converter has a drain plug, drain it as well. That's about all you can do. Once it gets up to operating temp, it's dry out any left over moisture out of the engine and trans oil in short order.

Here's my advice on what "I" would do. The wiring harness itself will probably live. I would remove EVERY electrical component one at the time, blow it dry with a hair drier and put it back. You might be surprised at the results. Labor intensive, I know, but I've seen it work in flooded vehicles. I will promise you this.....if that method doesn't salvage everything.....it WILL salvage SOME things.

Wow. this thread took off today..
love the past tense.
She was an X.
As for all of those giving me advice on the computer...have you ever done this?
The thing is sealed up tight, and to open it is to damage it and render it unable to be resealed, it would seem.
(yes, its open now)
Some good news....no mud, dirt, or moisture in any of the connectors to the comp unit.

yep, start by drying & cleaning the fuse/electronic boxes.
Autozone will lend you a scan tool to check for codes.
If I was still in Shreveport I'd come help. Maybe Ben & the guys can come lend you a hand.
