Crash's Carnage- The Death of the Tonka?
As Barnwell Mountain was closed today, I took my 6 year old to Shiloh Ridge.
Our intention was to get some cool pics of a muddy Nack.
However, the day didnt fare so well.
Ripped off a Bushwacker fender....not at the bolts, the fender ripped in two.
Destroyed a side step bar.
filled the JK with water up to the A/C controls.
Drowned an iphone.
TONKA REFUSES TO START AGAIN.
WIFE HAD TO TOW IT BACK TO HENDERSON.
(thanks to Teraflex for my "white belt", couldnt have gotten home without it.)
Key turns on, but no motor.
Radio turns on, but no sound.
A/C turns on, but no cold.
The only thing that works are the Hazards, which I didnt turn on, and wont go off.
I will probably disco the batt to shut em down.
Heres the damage to the step bar.
And my rock rashed rim.
and a floating wheel stand in one of the smaller pond puddles
The following may be difficult to view if you have a weak stomach, lol.
Please dont try this at home. Please note I am not stuck in these photos.
And the refurbished interior.
If you look at the outside of the drivers side dash, you can see the water line.
Others there got better pics and some videos.
I will have to wait for them to send them to me.
replies may take a while, since ive no net at home, and my iphone is kaput.
EDIT:
I feel the need to clear something up:
I did make it through it...several times.
It just wouldnt start later, after I killed it.
Everyones acting like it died crossing the puddle...
or like I got stuck.

i could cry for ya buddy.
thats horrible. disconnect the battery a good idea then when your refreshed-start disconnecting connectors and blowing water out of them. pull the plugs and turn the motor over with the starter to evac some of the water out of the cylinders assuming it hasnt already killed the motor.---be a shame to have to put a hemi in its place.
stupid barnwell for closing at 6.
