any special thing to make it work with the transponder thing?

I believe those keys have the transponder thing built in, but is there any 'programming' needed to make it work with the on-board computer?

It looks really cool and I want one too. Quadratec sells em for $22 but I see they state "Not programable for 2007 Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK" have you tried it yet?

edit: maybe it works for 08 and not 07?? JK is not listed in any of the keys....

Yeah it works, he programmed it when he dropped it off, he does that sort of thing for a living.

I got one for on '07 a couple years ago and it works great. The only minor problem is that the small bit of material that closes the keyring loop on mine is starting to break. It's so stiff that it still stays on the keyring, but I expect someday I will need to do something about that.

BTW: When I bought mine, I learned that the '06 Commanders use the same key as the '07 JKs--at least for the non-transponder version.
