it looks so familiar.
im thinking a catch machanism, but for what?
Let me think a bit...ill get back to you.
I see in my mind a notched surface it sets into...and a spring...fighting memory loss recently.
My gut tells me its not Jeep related....but im still working on it.

Have you installed/removed any new accessories lately?

Have you removed your antenna?

dude, thats the thingymajig that goes on the watchamacallit next to the dudad, geez. Be careful not to put it on backwards!

Yep, I'm pretty sure that's the piece that goes at the very center of the Jeep, that every other part attaches to. Better get the JB weld on before it falls to pieces!
