Default key holes

Has anyone tried to black the key holes on their doors? I've got a stock '10 2-dr that is gonna see about 7 black out mods this weekend and was thinking about painting over those as well. Unfortunately I don't have power locks though, so I might scratch mine up a little over time eventhough I hardly ever lock it.

I tried to do mine and i have power locks but it still chipped off. If you really want to be about it, you can take them off and have them powder coated...

That's what I was contemplating, but without power locks I'm afraid it would be pointless for me. Countless touch-up would be required.

Also, has anyone bought aftermarket smoked taillight covers? I've seen a set on a certain online auction site that includes smoked covers for the front and side marker lights. But I'm having trouble getting the seller to provide any pics of what they look like when installed and illuminated. I know my state only requires taillights to be red when illuminated, so I'm tempted to get them, but not sure what their light transmission rate is.

I used night Shade on my tail lights and not chipping after 6+ months. Use sparingly though, 1 and a half coats.

Yea again dont try to paint key holes. i taped mine of did couple coats then sealed with clear coat and it was chipping within a week. Powder coat is probably the only way to go.
