I am starting to build my own rear bumper and have hit a road block, I can't seem to figure out how to make my mounts. I would like to see how everyone is making their mounts if y'all could post up some pictures

I would go to some of the sites of bumper manufacturers and download their instructions - that should give you some ideas. Like:

If your going to cut 3/4" into that shape I hope you have a machine shop at your disposal.
I made mine out out of 1/4" and in order to "double" the strength made 4 mounts and put 2 INSIDE the frame.
Here's my design for the inside frame mount outside does not have the cutout. Don't forget bolt holes.
Then buy the weld thru shackle tabs and weld at much material to the outside mount as possible.
Result = remove mounting bolts, slide bumper out until only 1" of outer mount touches frame, Jump up and down on bumper and watch whole jeep bounce! It's fun.

Yeah I have a buddy who owns a machine shop and he is cutting them out of 1/2", he is cutting them out with a water jet so they will be perfect I am going to make an angle iron piece that slides in to sandwich the frame.

I took a 2x4 x1/4 piece of tube. Slid it into the frame. Marked for the holes, used existing holes in the frame and a couple new ones. Made a mounting plate for some nuts to hold the tube in place. Welded a piece of plate to the face of the tube. Bolted it all up. Then sandwiched some channel between some a2z D ring mounts.
Quick simple bumper.
