Yeah I actually just got them in the mail, I plan to do a single action, and if it needs the extra support, I can just leave the t-handle on, if not, well, its good to go I suppose

Only took forever I know but heres the setup, singles swing action with the carrier and tail gate. Some of the pictures may be kind of hard to get cause of the perspective but its the best I could do. I left the primer for the pictures so its easier to understand what I was working with.

From the side

How I designed the bracket on the tail gate

From above

Shows how I utilized the factory tire carrier bolts for the bracket

The bracket on the carrrier

How about any update on how the bumper and the tire carrier with the rear gate swing away are holding up.

Still going strong, I have done everything from rock crawling to desert racing, and been in snow/rain, you name it, holds up to the everyday wear and tear and not so much as even a squeak. Even got rear-ended and had not a single scratch nor damage to my frame (inspected by a shop to make sure), other car was deemed totaled and I fixed mine with a can of bedliner.

So to answer your question, its holding up great

NICE, I really love the angles on that bumper too. Good job for your first welding job.

Great Bumper! I'm probably going to have to "copy" this design!
