BKS's 2015 JKUR Build
OK I bought a new billet silver 2015 JKUR on 5/8/15. This is my 3rd wrangler. All have been weekend warriors. A 2000 TJ I had for 8 years. A 2013 JKUS auto I had for 2.5 years. Someone offered me good money for my 2013 and I wanted a manual Rubicon anyway so here I am with a new rubi. It is a manual with only two options, connectivity group and alpine upgraded stereo. Perfectly simple and all business.
I am not sure what I want to but I have some ideas. I want to go slow with the build, simple, low (maybe no lift, less drag), light weight and not cheap. Timeline is 2 years. I want to drive cross country and ride the Rubicon trial for my 40th birthday in the summer of 2017. The wife says she will fly and ride the trial with me.
Here is what I have done so far:
Weathertech mats all around
Mopar fuel door
Rugged Ridge trailer hitch with wiring combo
Rugged Ridge Dash Multi-Mount
Plans in my head so far:
Metalcloak Full Overland System, powder coat black (you can do 37s with no lift!)
Mopar Rock Hard Bumpers Front and Rear
AEV Tire Carrier
AEV Savage Wheels - Black
Goodyear Duratrac - 315/70/17
Warn Zeon 10 Winch
More Plans:
CB
Lighting
SPod
Etc.

Well after much thought I choose a lift, wheels and tires.
AEV 2.5 with geo brackets
AEV Salta wheels
Goodyear Duratrac 315/70/17
I also ordered a Teraflex monster front track bar and OME steering stabilizer. After driving it for a few days I notice that the factory SS just will not cut it. Also the AEV lift has no front track bar or bracket with the kit. The axle is about a 1/4" off and it bugs me so a new adjustable track bar was needed.
I'm at miles 1,396!

I installed my Teraflex monster adjustable front track bar and OME front steering stabilizer. What a difference. Steering was very lose. It rides like a dream now. I will post some pics tonight.
Mileage at 2,285.
