Big Jeep Upgrade
Finally, after 3 years and 35,000 miles I am about to do some upgrades to my Jeep that I have wanted ever since first viewing some of the awesome pictures of the JKs on this very forum back in August of 2007.
I have either on order or currently sitting in my garage:
- 315/75R16 Goodyear DuraTracs
- Rough Country 3.25 Lift Kit
- AEV ProCal
- 5.13 Gears
- Front Aussie Locker
- Crown extended brake lines
Over the next two weeks I will be installing these components and will be posting updates of my Jeeps transformation.
My Jeep is a base model Unlimited X with:
- 245/75R16 Goodyear Wrangler SRA
- 3.21 Gears
- 16x8 Pro-Comp series 97 rims
- TeraFlex 2.5" Budget Boost
- Rubi Rails

Late last week my Rough Country 3.25" lift arrived
And just today my DuraTracs (ordered form Discount Tire ) arrived
And just for some reference of size (especially compared to the SRAs):
Also arriving late last week was my ProCal (thanks Dave @ Northridge 4x4 ), but I have no pictures of that beauty.
The lift kit will be installed this Thursday and Friday, with the new tires going on Saturday. More pictures will follow

Thanks all!
Gears and locker just arrived today, I'll try and get some pictures posted up this evening of those.
You and me both. Between this Saturday (with the tires) and next Saturday (when we do the gears) it will be a very interesting week driving with 3.21 gears and 35s

Call Discount Tire Direct and they can hook you up. Call 1.888.459.4080 ext 51874 and speak with Kellen, he can get you the JK Forum member's discount.
For all five tires I paid a total of $1,250 dollars. I still have to mount and balance them, but a local shop quoted my $15 a tire for that. I will have an exact price for the mount & balance come this saturday

Quick question. For some reason, I seem to remember people saying that the carrier for the 3.21 is a different size than that needed for the 5.13's. I have been known to be wrong before, however rare but I was just wondering. Was that only on a few certain years?
