ok, as soon as I get my jeep back, I'll get some photos of the top in various configurations and do a write up. My jeep is being checked over for any "issues" since returning from Moab. Maybe have it back next week.

Can you run door less with the top in "safari mode". When you do this, do you have to keep the door surrounds on the jeep?

Can run doorless and I do believe the door surrounds are needed because the top rests on the surrounds

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought the whole point of the Trek Top was not needing the stock surrounds, so it was less expensive than purchasing a soft top?

You actually get new surrounds that fit the bows that support this version of Bestop's Trektop. Can't use the stock surrounds.

Got my Trektop on finally & I love it! Very little wind noise & getting better gas mileage than with the hard top. 1 hour to install by myself just like it said. Could not be more pleased with this roof!

my $.02...

True, but there's very little price difference between the Trektop and Trektop NX. Both are still way less expensive than a full softop. I'm actually seeing sale prices on the NX cheaper than the original Trektop. The door surrounds and other features on the Trektop NX seem to address the fit-n-finish problems that were seen on the original Trektop

Any new pics to post jctnt1? You're the only one here with an actual Trektop NX and we're dying to see more of it!
