Default Bestop Lock Box Help

Picked up the Jeep Thursday and today found this mounted under the seat. No keys! Anyone know if Bestop would have keys for the box or should I just drill out the lock??

That lock is completely useless. Get a couple screwdrivers and open the box. Unbolt the lock from the inside and replace it with a better lock. I removed the entire lock and modified it to accept a slightly better lock (with a real key instead of the 'key' bestop uses).

Thanks! I just drilled it, and it opened... Now just need a new lock for it...

I bought a hood lock for the jeep and it was the same diameter and worked great. The lock was ~$5 on eBay, I've not seen one that cheap in a while.

Does anyone make a lock you can key to the ignition key? I would love an under seat lock box but hate carrying extra keys to get into stuff in the Jeep.

Default you could add a clasp style latch

and buy a padlock from (bolt) that will automaticly fit to your jeep key
https://www.boltlock.com/shop/gm-cen...locks/7023537/

you can order it cheaper im sure from just about anywhere but even at 20+ not a bad deal
