Not yet. But I made this custom license plate holder and haven't decided to go above the license plate or below the light. It will end up in one of the two spots. I did see another pic of a guy who made a 2" box and placed it in the receiver. Looked sweet, but limits receiver use while keeping the cam in place.

i forgot to mention. There is a wire loom for the camera in the factory unit(depending model) and you will need to have the dealer flash the unit to accept the camera and display the image.

Careful mounting the camera near that light. When you put it in reverse and that back up light comes on, it'll look like someone is shining a light in your face when the camera comes on.

its on a separate switch, and that is also why I haven't decided on placement. I'll wire it up and play with placement first. No worries. Not my first mod in life.

I like the AEV system that will work with a Non-Nav unit radio, they give you a new interior mirror that has a 3.5" screen built in it. But did you guy's see the price on that Puppy ?

I have done a few .. Including mine. On factory my gigs a bypass harness is needed like a Lockpick from coastal tech or Nav-tv's harness. Those harnesses are plug and play and opens a lot more features than just to add a camera. Do NOT install camera and fly off to the dealer for "special programming" as they charge ridiculous fees just to enable a feature already there.

Ccd cameras offer a bit better resolution and are way less sensitive to lighting flare than a CMOS unit. I am installing at some point next week a little gem I found on Amazon specifically for the wrangler license plate LIGHT housing that is a ccd ,

CCD camera is high clear, better quality than the Colorful CMOS and CMD.

Just finished wiring up everything on my JKUS. The camera works great. This should be a factory option. It is nice to see what is hiding behind the spare tire. I spent less than $100 bucks for the harness, camera and to have the option enabled by the dealer.

Glad I didn't waste the money purchasing an interface for features that I really didn't want or need.
