How does the Atlas effect the "on road" gear ratio. In other words, I have a 6 speed with 35's and 4.88 gears. The RPM seems perfect on the highway, will it be the same with the Atlas. The reason that I'm asking is because I was told by a local vendor that I would effectively lose my sixth gear with an Atlas. I don't understand this. Somebody please explain...

That is completely untrue. the atlas, wether a standard 2 speed or 4 speed, they both have a 1:1 2hi and 4hi. The atlas 4 speed just adds extra ratios in there, i.e. muliple low range ratios. In 2 hi or 4 hi on the highway your final drive ratio will be unchanged.

I thought the same. I also thought that the Atlas was totally customizable so it might be possible to make changes like that too. if you wanted to.

It seems there are more options for the two speed, but the four speed only comes 1.0:1, 2.0:1, 2.72:1 & 5.4:1 or 1.0:1, 2.72:1, 3.8:1 & 10.3:1
