That is not good enough! You need to wipe it down real good with Acetone before painting!

Nice bike! Had to sell mine when I picked up the JK.
I would do the whole thing in por15 but I cant stand the gloss. Maybe just a plain old rustoleum flat or satin. Silver would be cool w black fenders I think.

The problem isn't the paint, it's that you didn't use aluminum etching primer which is required for AL. I used this paint on a piece of aluminum, after priming well, and it is holding up great.
