Anyone have the Smittybilt XRC10HD winch?
This is the one with the built-in compressor and the 2.5 gal tank. I was sent a flyer on it and noticed that it's about half the price of a Warn Powerplant. I know, I know... you can't beat a Warn Powerplant, but sometimes I just have to go the cheaper route. Anyway, if anyone's had any experience with them, please post some insight on operation / good / bad / ugly... Thanks ya'll

4 wheel drive hardware has them on sale, but I hate to be the first to get bitten in the butt by something that is not up to par. I don't think that anyone has made a set-up like this other than Warn, and at the price that they're offering, if it is good, it'll bring alot of competition. Again, I'm not in the least bit dogging Warn, but I am a little money conscious.

I had one on order since March. They kept pushing back the ship date. End of spring, mid summer, late summer, etc... Finally I head it was going to be Feb of 2010 so I canceled my order and got the Warn Powerplant. It is more money than I wanted to spend but since I had paid for the Smittybilt back in March it made the payment for the Warn a bit easier since they applied the money from the previous order. Also, Warn has a $100 rebate right now.
I think there are plenty of pictures of the Smittybilt on the website.
