Default Anyone have a JL Audio Stealthbox in 2Door JK?

Am looking at putting in the JL Audio Stealthbox but for $600 its pretty expensive. I love the fact it's low profile and looks factory. Not looking to rock my jeep just add some thump. Is one 10" sub sufficient? New to this... Jeep is only 3 days old.

It sure is pricey! Most jl stuff is very high qaulity build and sound qaulity, so yeah its probably worth it. I bet you could do just as good for less though? There are alot of shallow mount subs and you could build the box very low profile and mount in the same location?

Here is a pic of it here. Looks factory, I know it's big bucks but the dealer says the amp mounts right next to it and it is impossible to steal cause the tailgate locks it in when it closes. Thought it would be perfect for summer top off, no worries.

I'm with you! I've been wanting one for the exact same reasons but I just can't bring myself to do it yet....

I really like the stealthbox's..have one in my Silverado. The JL W0's & W1's required hardly any airspace. I had a small custom down fire, ported box built for my TJ with a W0 and it sounded great! Better was that I attached it the tailgate with a quick release so it was easy to take in & out and didn't take up hardly any room. So i'd say, if you know how to build a box or know a friend...Go that route. If not the stealthbox is 100% worth it.

I thought About building it myself but the guy at the audio place said JL would have put lots of money into researching the perfect amount of space for the wolfer. I know he is not trying to sell me the box because he told me I would be better off ordering it online then buying it from him. He was just saying how good they are at designing specific boxes with just the right amount of space.

No idea, I love the idea, just wish someone on here could say go or no go. I can't be the only one who likes this set up for the 2 door.

I like the JL stealthbox, but way too much $$$ for me. I went the cheapo ($249) powered Bazooka tube, simple to remove if you need the cargo space. Two wiring harnesses and straps, then it's gone. But a single 10" is powerful enough for a 2 door JK.
