Is there any other way to attach these things instead of using those plugs? I thought I saw some smooth installations somewhere.

Been looking at these quite abit. Would hold me over until new bumper comes into play. Thinking the RC ones look alittle better

Make your own, did a stubby on mine, took about 2 hours start to finish, and cost 10$ for a plastic welder from Harbour Freight and 5$ for a cheap can of rustolium truck bed liner. Looks pretty good and you don't have to rivit it. Sorry the pictures aren't great, but it looks really good IMO, and you can't beat the price!

took the plastic outer off, cut the metal bumper at the begining of the bend, then measured how far I wanted it to be from the can bumps (the two lumps on your bumper just outside the fog lights, I don't know what they are actually called) and cut to the top of the angle part on the top. this is where it gets a little tricky, you have to cut a diaganal cut through that angled piece until you hit the flat part of the bumper, do not cut anything away as this is the line you use to fold the bumper back to make the end caps. Do the same thing on the bottom, heat the back of your bumper and bend it back to cap off the end. Once you have it bent, use the plastic welder to seal the seam along the sides, and cut the excess off the back.

This one is the same idea, just didn't cut it so the ends are capped off. I will try to write a better description on how to do it, I need to look at my bumper to remember the actual steps.

I did mine with rivets, for about three bucks. This bumper is actually history.
