You can get better approach angles on obstacles with them because your tires are exposed rather than hitting your bumper and cursing.

You guys should check out W U R X (no spaces) off road. Mark has a new line that he is calling the "Aggression" series and his front stubby is SICK! I ordered mine, along with his matching rear bumper and they should be in next week. I'll definitely be posting some pics.
