I think the antenna looks good and you guys say "perfect fit" but from what I've seen on here...

https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...light=antennax

and this gap...

Yes you can see the adapter (not flush black on black) but it looks like it belongs there. . If you have one or have seen it in person you will know what I mean. To me it's a non issue compared to the other garbage that is out there.

Ordered mine new one from shortyantennasource.com. Factory look and no gap issues. Reception is just as good as the original.

When I was installing it, I did notice the ridges and the slight gap, but once installed, it looks pretty cool- especially for the price. Since there are a few other small chrome details- i.e headlight rims, wheels, Jeep logo- I thought it looked in place… If you really cared, you could probably file the ridges and get a black rubber washer/or paint for the gap- or even shrink wrap it... maybe I still will, at least the filing... But again- 15 bucks and prompt service... not too shabby!

yeah, I don't think the gap is that bad either...it's just that people keep saying it fits "perfectly"...and when I tried looking for more pictures of the antenna on this forum, I found out that it does not fit perfectly. I do love the look of it though.

I ended up ordering the shortyantennasource 14" one for myself.

Post a pic when you get it installed! I considered that one, but I thought the antenna x one looked thicker/more rugged/tough... but for 14 bucks, I might change my mind...
