Another Superchips story
Well I did not like the superchips when I installed it. I got really no new power with the 87 tune. 2 tanks later and a trip up the mountains on heavy grade and WOW!!!
Maybe the computer needed to adjust or something but what a difference. It's not like it drop in a hemi or anything but enough power to hold in gear on long inclimbs and better shifting. I don't know if the flashpaq adjust shifting or not but it's way better. I have a drop in K&N filter and stock exhaust. I think I'm going to keep running the 87 tune with 91 octane fuel till winter is over. I was worried about the high altitude and not gettin any results with the flashpaq but it's has made a better driving jeep. Thanks for all the info fellas. Since everyone likes pictures I'll throw one in.

Nice, I was using the flashpaq but started pinging, 91 tune/91 fuel. Now back at stock to wait and see if they can fix the program.
On a side note, if you do not mind telling, where'd you get your gears installed/how much??

Try the tow tune, I had the dreaded ping using the 87 tune for awhile and just went to the tow tune in July this year and using 87 Octane. I am still using the tow tune and very pleased...no pinging/knock. With my 6spd I find it has the same amt of power as the 87 tune. Not sure how it will work for autos?

[QUOTE=Sixgun;1965931] I wonder if an exhaust will help around the 2300rpm range.
P>S I have no pinging issues.
From all I've read from those that have done it, Flashpaq, exhaust, and intake make quite the trio...

[QUOTE=AK4Dave;1966076] Yes I know that it makes power higher in the RPMs but what about 2300 range. That is where I cruise at 65-70 mph.
