Salerno, sorry to bump an old-ish thread. Just curious about your painting process? Did you prime? Or just spray paint?

Any info would be appreciated. I have one of these coming in a few days and want to paint it...

I bought the Rugged Ridge scoop and primered it today. I'll resand and spray with Deep Water blue tomorrow... After install, I'll post pics.

Ok. I finished painting it and cleared it. However, I messed up the clear and I'm going to have to resand and touch up.

I'll post tomorrow after everything is done (hopefully).

Alright. Painted. Installed. I'm going to be adding the Hood Blackout decal soon so I painted the center of the scoop flat black.

Looks good Gator. Mine's waiting for me to get around to it.

Two ?s:

You liked the look of it open to the front, or was there another reason? I'm actually thinking of installing open to the windshield.

And do you have to sand after priming?
