I've also "heard" that it's supposed to help the defroster work better too. This is what I would like to know....

So I finally received my rugged ridge air induction scoop from 4wd.com (among other parts ) , put it on without the 3M tape just to see if i liked it- then i started installing my tail light guards and putting grab handles on...

my Dad said we had to leave right away to go to dinner so I just left, forgetting it was still on their unattached... came back after dinner to get my Jeep, drove one street made a turn and the unattached scoop flew off and got ran over by 3 cars.... :( fml....

Just got my RR scoop in today... When I went to install it I noticed the vent moved from my old TJ. WTFBBQ??

Anyway, I also ordered some matching Stone White paint from quadratec to paint it. Going to install anyway in the morning and see how it looks. Will post pics. Who knows maybe it will look ok. I'm going with opening in front, I like dirt and snow in my hvac. Good stuff.

Nope. I read on a military website that you can run some copper wire from the engine block or radiator to the bottom of the windshield to help defrost those troublesome spots.
