Agreed! I love mine too. I have to occasionally re-tighten the hardware though, but small price to pay to have a light-bar with zero clearance issues.

Post-up the results if you turn that scoop around. I've always been on the fence about these.

True, it's not centered, but neither are the existing cowl vents. I guess I don't know what you would have expected

I assumed the correct installation would have the opening pointing to the rear. Old Chevy muscle cars with cowl induction hoods have a rear facing opening. I also agree with the other posts talking about keeping dust and debris out.

I just looked at the Bushwacker installation guide for this part, and it says you can install it either way.

I guess personal preference.

I had the same thing on my old YJ and it help bring more air in the vents and it is the correct way with the hole at the back and it does keep dirt and snow out. It worked great and might get another for the 2012 JKU when it gets here .

Yes i realize that, saw an older jeep with one- back when the cowl vents were centered- it looks really good. so I had that look in my mind until i realized that they changed the location of the vent
