I am going to be getting a JKU in a few months when they have incentives. It will be my first jeep. I see you went with an X. Do you think the dana 30's are adequate if properly geared or will you be swapping those out. I am torn between the Rubi and the X. I like the idea of the x for the upfront cost and the fun factor of building it my way. but if the 30's wont cut it then a Rubi is the only way to go. What do you think? Seems like building an X, but I just want the insight. Since you have built them before and are doing it again seems you would have some good info.

I am going to stick with a 33x12.50 R15 Goodyear Duratrac on an alloy wheel, the weight of the whole tire and wheel are only about 6-7 lbs heavier than my stock steel wheels and tires. Eventually I will get the ORE gusset kit for the front and rear, probably overkill right now but worth it to prevent any bending of the C's. I will have to see whether I want to regear once I drive a few miles with the new tires.

Cool. I may follow your lead. Probably a sport though. I think the stock wheels look pretty cool blacked out adn bang for th ebuck a sport is not bad.
