Default AEV rear bumper & tire carrier w/ modified Currie rear Antirock bracket

I finally completed the install of my AEV rear bumper & tire carrier. The install took a while mainly because I discovered a conflict between the rear Currie Antirock sway bar bracket and the AEV bumper which required some cutting. The install is pretty straight forward, but there are many adjustments that are needed to make the bumper sit correctly.

Stock bumper with 37" tire on stock rear gate:

Stock bumper removed:

Tire carrier with spindle housing slid onto the frame:

Linkage:

Bumper only:

Bumper & tire carrier:

The trouble begins. The rear Currie Antirock sway bar bracket and the bumper both use the two holes where the L bracket for the stock bumper attach to the frame. You can see the mark on the frame from the Antirock bracket.

Currie was smart and designed the bracket so you could easily cut the outer 1/4" ring from the bracket to allow for placement on top of an after market bumper-thanks David @ Currie for the help. This picture shows how the brackets look after I removed the outer 1/4" ring:

However, the tube on the AEV bumper still did not allow the bracket to fit. I had to have the local muffler shop use their plasma cutter to cut half circles in the front of the bracket to allow for the bumper tube:

After many adjustments, I finally finished the project:

Oh, I also installed the IPF 920H4 headlights from Northridge-thanks David! Needless to say, this was a much easier install:

The first picture is the new IPF headlights with the stock fogs and the second shows the IPF headlights on high beam with the IPF 900 XS HID spot & driving beam lights.

Default AEV Rear Bumber Noise??

Has anyone had any new noises soft or loud bumps after installing the AEV rear bumper on a 2 door Rubicon?? I like the bumper but my daughter (her's is a 4 door Ruby) says I have new soft bumping noises when I go over minor bumps. I haven't consulted with AEV yet but plan to do so!

I have the unlimited, but the bumper has been solid. No rattles, not other noises.

I developed a loud rattle. It turned out to be a crack in the plastic saddle block due to over tightening. I replaced the block and it is as good as new.

Nice Jeep. I know this is an old thread but i had a question. I also have the AEV rear bumper and was looking at the antirock sway bar kit. I am running a 5.5 inch lift. I wanted to be sure that the AEV tube does not interfere with the travel of the antirock arm when the rear is put under the limits of articulation ....
