AEV NEW rear bumper
Here's a few pictures released by Jordan at AEV showing the newest rear bumper.
Hey,
Since not everyone can make it to Moab for the Easter Jeep Safari we're going to try and update everyone on the products, kits, conversions, services, and other news related items.
I've already broken the sacred AEV rule (not releasing information before a product is ready) to show you guys the JK HEMI Manual Transmission Conversion and Kit details; I might as well share some more while I'm still allowed internet access.
What to show?... What to show?... Anyone interested in AEV JK Rear Bumper? I thought so.
Here we go... I'll post the description about the photos in a little bit. But, here they are raw.
No rubber mounts for preload, absolutely no rattles
One handed operation with the stock tailgate latch
Unique design puts no force on the tailgate
Mud, Ice, Sand Proof
Fully articulated to account for body/chassis flex
All CNC bent tubing
5 1/2 gallons of built in water storage
Water hand pump (not shown)
56lbs (bumper only)
HiLift jack points
Accessory mounts (HiLift, etc, not shown)
AEV Zinc, Electro, and Powder Coatings
OE style spiral cut, greasable bronze bushings
Tire Carrier and Bumper are completely independent
Classic AEV - Enjoy.

That is awesome!
If it doesn't cost a fortune, I may have to replace my Rugged Ridge rear bumper with one.
If the cost is anything like the AEV front bumper, I'll keep my RR.

I guess if you are ever thirsty just stick in a straw and have a little sippy sippy! Otherwise I'm clueless about the little tank
I must say the tire carrier does it for me but not the bumper

I was skeptical after just seeing the pictures. But, after seeing the bumper in person I was more impressed. The bumper and tire carrier are solid and well designed. I like the high clearance of the corners. The H2O containers don't look bad because they match the fender flares. Plus, having some extra water for a coolant leak or to wash after a breakdown is not a bad thing IMO.
