A Few Pros and Cons of the 9"

Pros...
-More gear ratios available than any other axle
-Lost of Locker Options
-Modular design makes for easy service
-Lighter than a 60
-Fabrication Friendly, can weld custom brackets anyware on housing
-Hi-Pinion 3rd members available for great driveline ground clerance
-Easy trail repairs
-Higher ground clerance than a 60

Cons...
-Low Pinion design hangs lower that any other low pinion axle
-Higher Cost than a 60
-Hi-Pinion 3rd member Gear Availability (lack of ratios)

Hey Currie, do you have any more pics, and or pricing yet?

Sorry, slightly confused.

If the parts are a lot cheaper then even a D44, why is the cost higher for the 609 vs a 60 ?

Maybe a bad question, or obvious, but how do you change the fluids? 3rd member has to come out right?

You weld in a drain. I've seen 2 or 3 Hi 9s blow up, I'll stick with a hp60.
