For all the people focused on the topic of 40s on a 4 inch lift
so we ramped the jeep today and as far as wheel well issues, there is none, it rubs the tube a little at full flex but oh well. the only problem was the tire will rub the frame and my front bumper with only 4.5 in backspacing. solution. i purchased 1.25in wheel spacers. the tire will still rub fully flexed on the frame but not bad enough to worry about it. it also still rubs the front bumper a little when flexed so we will get out the plasma cutter and cut the bumper a bit. in conclusion.
40 in tires with 4 inches of lift lots of fender trimming, wheel spacers, no extended bump stops.
here are some more pics.
these pics were not taken with the wheel spacers

Here I am just browsing for pictures of Colorado wheeling and I stumble across this big debate. I’ve seen a couple of guys who runs 40’s here in Arizona and they seem like big studs with big johnson’s. White Widow – How big is your johnson? Mine grew a little when I put on 35’s but still gets turlted up when it’s cold. Luckily its hot right now in Arizona. Hopefully one day I can have a big hanging rock krawling johnson when I move up in tire size.
BTW – WW what happened to your Mohawk? I am not sure that I like the mustache on you. Send me an old picture so I can set it as my desktop wallpaper. Toodaloo
