I second the 60 and keep the tires. Why replace a 44 with a 44? go with a stronger 60 if you can afford it. and keep the 44 upfront until it goes.

39s on a 30??? wow. those nittos are heavy 37s too. my nitto 35s that I had weighed almost 100lbs a piece I think. I would try to find someone wanting 39s that has a mtr kevlar or km2 or something lighter they want to trade if it was me. If you stay on meat that big prepare to buy bigger axles or keep breaking stuff.

Any photos of it on 39s? I bet it looks wicked!

Nice orwell quote btw. I have always liked that, and his work.

Guy around where I wheel has 39.5x16.5R15 Pit Bull Rockers on a Dana 30 and he wheels it. I guess it really all depends on how you drive. His upgrades were axle shafts, gears, locker, and C gussets. Thats about it.

This is from the last time out when he disappeared into a ravine to test out his latest setup. Triangulated 4 links front and rear, beefiest long arms I've ever seen in person.

Found a free rear ford 60 housing. The spindles and hubs are good. It's all in the details now. Machine out the spindles for 35 spline shafts, get a yukon grizzly whenever it gets made for the 60, disc brake conversion, shave, new bearings, seals, 5.38, and 4340 shafts.

Well evidently 39.5 inch irok necessitate the need for a 60 or 14 bolt.

not trying to hijack, but does mtr kevlar or km2 really that much lighter? I was thinking on going 37s after my 35s but I have a stock d30 in front? I have MT bajas now 35s. Are kevlar 37s about the same as my 35s baja claws??? if so I might go those next time. What ya think
