Are you using hub centric rings with those wheels?
I thinking about picking up a set of the 17x8 MR1's with some 285/70/17's KM2's, but I'm not sure if I need the hub rings or not.

I asked my neighbor to borrow his....they do fit, but they don't 'retain' very well. It may take a little creativity but the diameter is correct
and I don't believe you'll need hubcentric rings. I ran these wheels without the spydertrax spacers for a hundred miles or so without any issues...I put the spacers on just to keep from changing my steering stops as I had a little rubbing at full lock turn before....but not any more
overall I'm very pleased with this setup....the tire/wheel combo weighs in at almost 26 lbs. less each than did my 15" procomps w/ 37"x14" toyo m/t's....and it may simply be all in my head, but it feels like a little power is back
