Default Are 37's DOABLE on 4.10's?

Looking at buying a 4dr jeep soon and want to put the 4 inch teraflex on it... Would I be able to put 37's on 4.10 gears for a little while until I had more cash? How doable is this? Thanks

that's what i'm running...it's not great, but i think it's doable. but your opinion may differ..i don't do a lot of highway driving, and when i do, i turn the OD off..

Very doable for a while, a little less so with an automatic your mileage will suffer. I only use my 37s for wheeling so its on for a day or so at a time and I do not do much highway driving.

I have 36" Iroks, which measure just under 37, with an auto and 410's. I really do not mind it, I'm sure gears would make it better, but i'm fine with it. I also have a superchip flashpak, air intake, and exhaust.
I'm averaging around 16mpg interstate, 13.5 in town. Those are winter #'s too, should go up when it gets warm...cold tires sucko on the mpg's!!

I just got 37's and have 4:10 gears. They don't feel much different than my 35's, which measured out at 33" when I replaced them. I have 5:13's and am waiting for the install kits to get here to put them in. Should be alot more fun with the 6 speed.

if i get an X, with 4.10s, will the axles and driveshaft hold up alright? Dont plan on any hard core offroading until i put different gears and driveshafts on it, but until then it will be fine?
Thanks,
Grant

With 37's", you should have 5.13 gears to get back to stock power.

You CAN run 37's" on lower gears however, you're gonna lose power.

The stock Dana 30 axle will hold up OK for EASY wheeling however, if running 37's", it wouldn't hurt to rebuild the Dana 30 with some chromoley axle shafts, magnum sleeves, C-gussett reinforcements and a truss.

Or, just upgrade the front to a Dana 44.
