I've had two different sets of 32", a set of 33" and two different sets of 35" tires between my two JK's.

I do not regret 35" tires one bit. I even live at 7200 ft elevation.

If I did not have 4.10 gearing, I would stick with either the original Rubi tires or 33" all terrains.

Here we go....up to 37s.....

Lots of good insight. I went with 35s because I knew I would have wished I'd gotten them to begin with. If you get 33s you are always going to wonder what it would be like with 35s. Just my opinion.

Default 35's

I was undecided and ended up with 35's and glad I did. I have 4.10's and a 6 speed and it's not bad at all. I did not want to go with 33's and wish I had gotten the 35's just go with 35's!

Honest question: if we expand on this, isn't the guy who buys 35s right out of the gate always going to pine for 37s? And JK owners who fit a lift and 37s, aren't they going to ruminate about 38s or 40s? So on and so forth?

I remember when the TJ came out and a spacer kit would allow 31x10.50s... those tires were initially considered pretty big for a Jeep. Heck, my best man went everywhere in Moab in a TJ Sport with 30x9.50s.

I'm just not sure if I'm down with the idea that 35s are the tacit minimum tire size for the JK. I've got 3" of OME lift on my 2-door after adding the weight of bumpers and winches; I put 33s on my JK and haven't looked back since.
